PREPARING TO COACH

These notes are for participating coaches and others wanting to learn and build skills on how to coach in the NorCal Youth Training program.

The turning and teaching techniques described below are also rewarding ways to build your personal turning skills.

Consider joining the coaching team and sharing our camaraderie. Coaches always learn the most.  Try out the Youth Truning projects. Earn your "Coach" button, above!

ABOUT YOUTH TURNING

COACHING REFERENCE MATERIAL

RECORDS CLEARANCE FOR COACHES

The school requires regularly attending coaches of students to have a criminal records check, a TB test and to submit a volunteer application.  There may be a small expense which will be reimbursed.  Print and complete the following forms.  Instructions are included.  We will try to maintain packets of blank forms in the classroom.   You can get help from coaches who have gone through this slightly burdensome drill.

The following links are available to NorCal members only.
