Rockler is doing a “Turn a Pen for a Veteran” event the weekend of November 6th and 7th. They are hoping for a club member(s) to assist our store staff with the classes and the club can also set up a table to talk to customers about membership. They are deeply discounted classes with the proceeds going to Veteran’s organizations. Pens will be pre-drilled, glued and milled, students will just turn, finish and assemble. Join us for this special Veteran's Day Event and Turn a Pen for $15. All proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to the Help Heal Veterans organization. In this class, you'll learn the basic fundamentals of woodturning and wooden pen turning kits. Finishing and pen assembly will also be covered. Each attendee will get to make and take home their own custom made pen! $15 fee includes all materials, hardware, & supplies. No experience required and beginners are welcome!
